Major tune up and repairs done in 2021. Replaced the radiator, installed a good used heater core, and added a digital ignition.
Starter currently requires a hammer assist. Comes with a bench tested spare.
New Jet-X exhaust in 2021. It connects with Y-pipes. I wouldn't call them "headers" exactly but it looks less restrictive than the original collector tube setup.
It sounds good. Much better than the rusted out collector and exhaust that it replaced.
The body needed work before a snowbank was shoved into the grille.
Comes with a rebuilt grille, replacement lenses, and I have a front bumper that I'd sell for $200.
It's pretty shot.
Except for the crack-free dash pad.
Comes with a driver side door card and all the door hardware.
I have a spare transmission that I will sell with the car for $500.
The one in it works, but is OE.
Went through the brakes in 2021.
A walk-around, a cold start, and a very short video driving back into the garage.
Update 7/10/25:
My intent was to sell the car and the parts as a kit, but I need the garage space for a home improvement project so I have started to go through the things that need doing to make her drivable, wither to sell or to move out of the way.
I started with building a grille, and while it is off, I have deleted the deceleration valve, the thermostatic flap in the air filter cover, and the charcoal filter. Next, I will be re-plumbing the heater core with the correct hard lines and troubleshooting the temp gauge and swapping out the starter.
Soon, the asking price will reflect the time and money I 'm putting into it, so if you would rather do this stuff yourself, please, for the love of Saab, stop me.
Other things to note:
The floor has rusted through in spots, particularly around where the seat belts mount and along the rockers in the corner of the footwells. The rockers themselves are surprisingly decent.
With he exception of the rebuilt grille, all of the original body panels are present under a bad respray and some bondo.
A PO bypassed the heater core and the radiator was shot, so new radiator was fitted and the heater core replaced with a used unit that was flushed and pressure tested. The hard lines were missing, but I have replacements that can be fitted along with new hoses to complete the cooling system.
The car steers well. Two NOS tie rod ends are included.
Among the included parts: A spare transmission (A $1000 right there!), a used starter, a rebuilt grille assembly, good turn signal and brake lenses, tie rod ends, assorted gaskets, a factory manual, and the "SLOSAAB" CA vanity plate that came with the car.
Located in Moretown, VT.

Found on Craig's List in Maine in 2020.
Seller was the son of the guy who parked it. Apparently it was stored indoors. The son got the bug but is a Volvo guy and decided to sell the Saab.
If I recall correctly, the father bought the car out of IL, then registered in CT. I have both an IL and a CT plate that came with it, along with the "SLOSAAB" CA vanity plate that I hate to part with, but it belongs to the car.
Based on how it is, it looks like the car spent more time in a hot, dry climate than it did relatively temperate ones.
